Two days to launch: the weir above the Mystic ponds

There's something about holding it in your hands. 328 pages, a map I checked a dozen times, and ten drawings of wetus, weirs, canoes and a wampum belt.

This one is the fish weir above the Mystic ponds: stakes and brush across the stream, and the alewives crowding in every spring. When Wenepoykin's mother sold the Mystic lands to Charlestown, the weir was one of the two things she kept for as long as she lived. The English wrote it right into the deed.

Thursday is the official launch, two days to go. If you'd rather not wait, it's already on Amazon in paperback and Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HL8VP2JM
