Not for nuthin'…. But….. Wednesday's starting out wrapped in fog along the coast, with a warm, breezy afternoon on tap before Friday's rain and wind and a real chill Saturday, when the mountains up north could even see some snow. Here's how three corners of New England looked a little before 7:40 this morning.
Marblehead Harbor (BYC Oceanfront) — Thick fog. The far shore is gone, and the moored boats fade into grey a few hundred yards out. The water is flat and glassy, and the Boston Yacht Club float is quiet, with kayaks on the racks and a white skiff tied up at the end.
Mount Washington North View — Nothing to see from the summit but cloud. The lens is beaded with water and the whole frame is a soft grey-white. The Rockpile is in the soup again.
Great Eddy Covered Bridge, Waitsfield — Grey clouds with a little pink light breaking through over the hills. The Mad River is running dark and brown under the bridge, and the red maple on the bank is still blazing, with gold and green hanging on around the farmhouse.
