New England This Morning — October 12, 2026

Not for nuthin'…. But….. Overnight showers are wrapping up and Monday's looking like a dry breather before more rain Tuesday. Marblehead Harbor woke up steely and calm under a flat grey sky, Mount Washington's camera is wet and socked in again, and the Mad River Valley is still showing off its fall color by the covered bridge.

Marblehead Harbor (BYC Oceanfront) — Overcast and quiet. The sky is a solid grey, the water is dark and barely rippling, and the boats are sitting still on their moorings. Kayaks and dinghies are lined up on the Boston Yacht Club float, with a white motorboat tied up alongside.

Mount Washington North View — No view from the summit this morning. The lens is covered in raindrops and the whole frame is a bright grey-white fog. The Rockpile is inside the cloud.

Great Eddy Covered Bridge, Waitsfield — Soft overcast light and a wet road. The Mad River is dark and calm under the covered bridge, with a rocky bank on the right and a mix of red, orange, and yellow leaves still hanging on around the farmhouse.

MOAM Out.
