For a long time I've been working on something I haven't talked about much. It started with a question about this town: who was here before the deed, and what happened to them?
In 1684 the men of Marblehead paid sixteen pounds for this land to the heirs of a sachem named Nanepashemet. I wanted to know about the people on the other side of that paper.
I wrote a novel about them. More soon.
