Not for nuthin'…. But….. take a good look at New England this morning before the weather turns.
Marblehead Harbor is quiet under a mackerel sky — boats still on the moorings, water almost flat, a couple of folks already out on the BYC dock. Up on Mount Washington the North View is clear and sharp, with valley fog tucked between the ridges and a touch of early color on the slopes. Over in Waitsfield the sun’s on the Great Eddy covered bridge, the Mad River is glass-calm, and that big maple by the bank is already tipping into orange.
Enjoy the quiet while it lasts. That rare September nor’easter we’ve been watching is due to work up the coast later today into the weekend. Tape the screens, charge the batteries, and if you’ve still got a boat on a Marblehead mooring, double-check the lines before the wind picks up.
