This is catching the MOAM's attention today….. Day two of this fall nor’easter, and New England’s putting on three different faces before breakfast.
Marblehead Harbor is steel-gray under a solid overcast — boats swung tight on the moorings, a little chop on the water, paddleboards still racked on the BYC dock. Up on Mount Washington the North View is socked right in: fog and raindrops plastered on the lens, summit vanished for the morning. Over in Waitsfield the Great Eddy covered bridge is quieter — Mad River almost glass-calm, early fall gold and rust on the trees, that little American flag hanging on the bridge like nothing’s wrong with the world.
Coastal Massachusetts is still dealing with the leftover wind and showers from this storm. Inland Vermont looks calmer so far. If you’re headed out near the shore, give the docks and decks another look before the next band rolls through.
